The Color Green – A Short Poem

My poetry comes rare because I haven’t found my flair.

Give me time and my passion will shine.

God said it himself in a song called this “little light of mine.”

Trust me, I am divine.

Not because of what I own, but what’s inside.

Read my poetry and you will see what I have come to be.

And yet there is still time for me to refine my grind.

Laziness is something that does not reside around me.

But stick around and see that my craziness is more pristine.

If I had to describe myself in a color, it would be green.

Because Mother Nature consistently speaks to me.

She whispers through the trees and tells me,

“Life is nothing, but a dream. Appreciate the small things and become more keen.”

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my poetry! Check out my other social media with the links below and don’t forget to comment, like and subscribe on this blog post! See you next time.
